Managing Partner. In his previous career Dave spent over 25 years running venture funded technology startups. In 2006 he earned a digital media degree from CDIA. Dave combines an interest in filmmaking with a diverse management background. He has seen it all, and has a story for every occasion. Loves: Red Wine.
Partner, Head of Production. David is an award winning filmmaker and experienced live event producer. He studied video production at Connecticut College, and brings a passion for storytelling to every project at Ecast. David is a self-proclaimed perfectionist, and he oversees daily business operations and live event production. Loves: South Indian Food.
Partner, Head of Pre Production. Previously Vice President institutional client coverage at Morgan Stanley, Dewey spent the last decade working with a range of corporate customers. He attended the Newhouse School for Public Communications at Syracuse University and the Whitman School of Management, with degrees in Marketing, Finance, and Television/Film. He brings a love of filmmaking and keen business sense to Ecast. Loves: Dark roast coffee, his new baby.
Partner, Head of Post Production. Dan studied digital media at CDIA and went on to work at MIT. He is our resident technology junkie. He equips the editorial department with cutting edge tools and resources, while maintaining the highest possible quality control. In the event of the Apocalypse, Dan has filled his editing suite with all the necessary survival equipment, to ensure that your video will be completed and delivered on time. Loves: Star Wars.
Senior Producer. Ann Marie won an Emmy! A veteran TV producer, she has worked with several Boston TV stations. Ann Marie has been part of the production team for many prestigious live events including the July 4th Esplanade Fireworks, Tall Ships Parade, the Boston Pops, and many more. She has also worked in Washington, DC; Amman, Jordan; and Egypt. Loves: Beach Vacations.
Director of Photography. Rob is a zealous filmmaker with experience shooting documentaries, branded content, fictional narrative, music videos, and live events. He has created content for clients including Netflix, Facebook, The National Football League, and the United Nations. Hi lived in Kenya for three month, where he taught filmmaking at an all girls school. Rob earned his MFA in Filmmaking from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Loves: Sushi.
Senior Editor. Don’t be intimidated by the spelling; it’s a French name, pronounced “Jan”. Jehanne is Ecast’s powerhouse editor, and accordingly she has a very fancy computer, which makes everyone else jealous. She has an intuitive knack for storytelling, and always makes interview subjects look great. Jehanne is a proud alumna of Connecticut College’s film studies program, and previously worked at Engine Room Edit in Boston. Loves: Rugby.
Producer. Jason enjoys creating and telling stories that impact and inspire audiences. After working at WGBH, he entered the corporate video world – capturing and producing content for Essex Television, Pfizer, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. He is a graduate of Tufts University. If he’s not in the kitchen or spending time with family, he’s thinking about the next meal. Loves: Cooking, Music, and Film.
Technical Director & Webcast Producer. Lars-Erik has a Bachelors of Arts from St. Lawrence University in Sociology, Speech & Theatre, and a minor in film. He’s professionally certified in digital filmmaking from Boston University, and high-speed imaging and motion analysis from MIT. For the past ten years he’s worked with MIT, Harvard, B.U., Broad Institute, TEDx Cambridge, Boston Properties, John Hancock Manulife, and many more. Loves: Watching / making movies.
Photographer. Lauren comes from a sports background. After studying video production at Emerson College, she spent the last 4 years working as a videographer/editor for the Boston Red Sox. She has also been an official tournament videographer and Video Producer for The Championships Wimbledon and the BNP Paribas Open. Loves: Tom Brady and dark chocolate
Admin/Marketing. Julia is a recent TV/Radio grad from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. She enjoys everything from research & planning, to shooting and editing, while dabbling in photography. In her spare time, she watches Netflix and belts Taylor Swift songs. Loves: Sightseeing in foreign cities.
Photographer. David has been creating images for commercial clients for more than 3 decades, blending experience with creativity to level unparalleled results. His clients include: Apple, New Balance, Welch’s, BJ’s Wholesale Club, National Grid, and many more. He lives in Sudbury with his wife, daughter and two dogs, Maui and Bean. Loves: Cheese.
Photographer. Matt grew up as a BMXer which lead him to photograph and film BMX all across the country, contributing to Ride, Dig and BMX Plus, all of which are international BMX magazines. When it was time to “grow up” (TBD), Matt returned to his hometown of Stratford, Connecticut to work as an commercial / product photographer. Matt has done work for Lego, Microsoft, Goodwill, BJ’s Wholesale, Sam’s Club, Walmart and has been published in a number of local, national and international magazines. Loves: Beagles.
Editor. Rachel is a MassArt grad who has spent the better part of 12 years creating her own short videos and films, teaching herself new methods along the way. She has a passion for storytelling and binge-watching period pieces on Netflix. She previously worked at Long Haul Films, creating work for several of well-known Boston companies. On occasion she can be found petting strangers’ dogs on the street or fabricating a costume for her next comic book convention. Loves: Folk Music
Shop Manager. Leslie is our equipment guru and a one-woman IT department! She studied Technical Theater Design at Rhode Island College, and wears many hats at Ecast, both literally and figuratively. Camera operator, graphic designer, resident truck driver – there is almost nothing she can’t do! Loves: Coffee.
Junior Editor. Dan is also an avid podcaster, TV critic, and movie enthusiast. At Connecticut College he designed an audio based “video” game for the blind using 3D location based sound. Since college, Dan has been a freelance video editor before settling down at Ecast. Loves: Comic Book Movies and Italian Food.
